Help Desk Technician
VisionFriendly.com, a Naperville, IL Web Engineering Company is seeking a full time, high-energy help desk technician with excellent people skills and a compassionate nature. An ideal skillset would include experience setting up and supporting email clients, especially Outlook, experience managing web domains, and experience with all aspects of DNS.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Answer/respond to incoming requests and resolve customer problems via the telephone and email
- Interact with customers and co-workers to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical problems
- Support feature, functionality, and usage of Email Clients including mobile devices
- Manage and configure DNS records, especially A, CNAME, MX, and TXT records
- Manage all aspects of domain name transfers and new domain name setups
- Support the process of moving a customer’s email accounts from one provider to another
- Provide level 1 technical support
HELP DESK SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of email services including POP3, IMAP, and SMTP
- Strong knowledge of DNS related to websites and email
- Technical aptitude with strong PC literacy skills
- Experience with hardware/networking is a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Attention to detail
