VisionFriendly.com Creative Director Kyle Lisson recently visited the California-based headquarters of our client Lift-It, a manufacturer of lifting slings for the military, SpaceX, and other high-end customers. We’ve provided Lift-It with premiere website and graphic design services for 12 years, and recently completed the third website redesign in that period.
Kyle worked with the father-son team at Lift-It as they made the transition from a paper catalog into a large eCommerce website. The recent website redesign now features more than 10,000 products, updated product listings, and the ability to search by workload limit or number of plies. There are enhanced search capabilities, filtering, and the ability to upload to the cart faster.
Kyle forged a strong relationship with the client over the years of working with them, but the visit gave him the chance to see things in a fresh light. He was able to see some of the aspects of the business they’d talked about over the years for himself, and gain a deeper understanding.
They’ve got this huge, big warehouse and training room area,” Kyle said. “It really just is the Mecca of rigging. There are training courses so that people can understand how to safely use their products, and those are run out of these big rooms.”
Much of the rigging equipment that they produce and sell is designed to lift over a million pounds. There are testing labs out of the location where they basically exert pressure on the sling until it breaks so they understand the full capabilities of the product.
Kyle was thrilled to have face-to-face time with the client, especially after working with them remotely for so long.
“Just going there, it was awesome,” he said. “It was great to see how organized everything was, and how clean. It was exciting for me, and just a huge motivator when it comes to future work with them.”
After the most recent website work, Lift-It now has a high-caliber eCommerce website ranking organically in many key Google searches. To learn more about Lift-it, visit their newly redesigned website at Lift-It.com. In the meantime, here are more photos from Kyle's client visit!
